Easy Google Optimizer Plugin for WordPress

This plugin will add the code needed to run Google Web Optimizer testing program on your WordPress blog

1.) Sign up for and start a new Google Web Optimizer test account.

2.) Download the Easy Google Optimizer plugin from our plugin page on WordPress.org

Version 1.0.1 – updated 2/18/10 (if you are having an error unzipping the file during installation try this one)

Tested to work on WP 2.9.2

3.) Then activate this plugin

Unzip and upload the file into your `/wp-content/plugins/` directory
Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
Follow the setup instructions to setup a Google Web Optimizer test at www.google.com/intl/en/websiteoptimizer/tutorials.html
Add the tracking code from Google into your test pages from the Easy Google Optimizer admin menu. This can me found in the Manage > Easy Google Optimizer menu item (as of WordPress 2.6 this is now under the Settings menu)

This plugin will add the code needed to run the Google Analytics visitor tracking program

2.) Then activate this plugin

Unzip and upload the google-analytics folder into your `/wp-content/plugins/` directory
Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
Go to the Options > Google Analytics menu and type in your Account ID and save using the "update options" button.
Login to your Google Analytics account to verify the tracking code has been installed successfully.

This plugin will add the code needed to run the Clickheat click tracking program

1.) Download and install the Clickheat system from Labs Media. Download and install the Clickheat system into a folder called "clickheat" in your root web folder. i.e. http://www.mydomain.com/clickheat

2.) Download the Clickheat plugin from us

3.) Then activate this plugin

Unzip and upload the clickheat.php file into your `/wp-content/plugins/` directory
Please verify that your current theme has the code wp_footer() installed at the bottom of the template
Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
Verify the tracking code was installed correctly.
It should look like this:
Test the system by adding the "?debugclickheat" debug code to the end of any page link on your site. i.e. http://www.site.com/page-or-post-slug/?debugclickheat
Please note: the system will not track clicks from admin users that are logged in.

If you have installed it correctly you will get a window like this appearing:

Click anywhere on the screen and you will see your clicks being recorded in this box.
